  • The event will see premium brand DENZA officially launch in the UK, together with the global premiere of a new model. BYD will also launch several key new models for Europe and UK
  • Its luxury marque, YANGWANG, will exhibit the awe-inspiring U8L SUV and the world’s fastest car – U9 Xtreme, including one of its supercars taking to The Hill

BYD Group is set to take this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed by storm, as it confirms its attendance at the world’s most famous and interactive motoring celebration from 9th to 12th July 2026.

Following two very successful years at the event, this time around the fast-growing company is set to take things to a completely new level – both figuratively and literally. BYD, DENZA and YANGWANG will present the largest stand ever created by a single company in the event’s illustrious 33-year history and combined, to underline the Group’s commitment to - and passion for - the UK’s car-loving public.

During the four-day motoring celebration, the BYD Group is poised to debut a series of new cars – both globally and for Europe - across all three of its brands. Among its eye-catching activations, the Group’s stand will proudly display the world’s fastest car: the YANGWANG U9 Xtreme. Close by, the media and the public will witness at least one world debut, plus a series of other firsts on a domestic and European level for both BYD and DENZA. In terms of the latter, the event will also serve as the official national launch platform for the Group’s premium brand, with all three of the UK’s initial launch models on display – Z9GT, BAO5 and D9.

Each of the brands will be staged within a striking multi-tier contemporary structure, with an upmarket roof terrace, set proudly in a prime location directly next to the main pedestrian bridge. Covering 2,016 square metres, it will represent the distinct identities of each of its three brands. Over and above purely showcasing its latest models, its captivating design has been carefully honed to offer a fully interactive and engaging experience, with the Group set to entice visitors with a stand experience like no other. And given the unpredictable nature of the British summer, a welcome shelter, come rain or shine, for festival-goers.

Once there, attendees will have plenty more activities to enjoy. There will be demonstrations and passenger rides in the new BYD SHARK 6 pick-up and DENZA BAO5 SUV models on an off-road course, and even a merchandise store. And, in keeping with its technology company ethos, it will not just be the cars taking centre stage.

At the heart of its stand will be a central ‘Tech Zone’, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the company’s state-of-the-art technology, including  V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid), DM-i (Dual Mode Intelligent plug-in Super Hybrid technology) and of course, live demonstrations of the Group’s game-changing FLASH Charging technology, capable of charging its Blade Battery 2.0 (10 to 70%, over 220 miles) in just five minutes. Younger viewers will be able to engage in an interactive AI experience, while regardless of your age, driving simulators are guaranteed to get pulses racing, plus some robot dogs to surprise and delight.

Stella Li, BYD Executive Vice President, commented: “The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the most exciting dates in the automotive calendar, and we wanted to present our BYD, DENZA and YANGWANG brands in a way that’s truly fitting for such a prestigious and enjoyable event. Our record-breaking stand achieves just this; not only does it align our brands with Goodwood’s rich automotive and motorsport heritage, but it is a fabulous stage from which to present the global debut of an all-new model, as well as the breadth, appeal and technology of the BYD Group.”

The Duke of Richmond, CBE DL, founder of the Festival of Speed said: "We are very much looking forward to welcoming BYD Group back to Goodwood Festival of Speed as they match our own ambition for the event with such a monumental presence. The Festival of Speed has always been the place to see the very latest cars and automotive technology, and we're delighted that BYD, DENZA and YANGWANG will be showcasing a series of global and European debuts. While we welcome hundreds of thousands of fans to the event in West Sussex, the Festival of Speed has a truly international audience, making it the perfect choice for BYD Group to launch their cars and share their story."

More exciting developments on the BYD Group’s presence at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will be confirmed closer to the event in July.
